As you set up the altar, do everything you can in a deosil (1) fashion. First, place the salt, followed by incense, candle, and water. As you do these things, chant a special mantra to you. I suggest,
Place three pinches of salt into the chalice of water, and then stir thrice. Stop chanting. Stand, facing the North. Athame in your receptive (2) hand, say something to the effect of:
Return to the altar and (Athame in projective(4) hand) touch the blade to the salt, then to your second chakra. Facing the East, (Athame in your receptive hand) say something to the effect of:
Return to the altar and (Athame in projective hand) pass the blade
through the incense, then to your second chakra. Facing the South, (Athame
in your receptive hand) say something to the effect of:
Return to the altar and(Athame in projective hand) touch the blade through the flames, then to your second chakra. Facing the West, (Athame in your receptive hand) say something to the effect of:
Return to the altar and (Athame in projective hand) touch the blade
to the water, then to your second chakra. At the NorthCenter, touch
the Athame to your fourth chakra (heart) and say:
Athame in projective hand, walk deosil around the circle, visualizing a wall of protective ivy and willow trees growing up around you. When you return to the North, say:
Kneel at the altar, facing east. Say:
Visualize a green fiery pentagram above the center of the circle. In the offering cup, place your offering.
Now is a time to perform any special rituals, spells, ceremonies, or to meditate or pray. When you are ready to close the circle, stand and repeat your earlier mantra. Walk to the North. Athame in protective hand, say:
Then, to the east.
To the south.
To the west.
To the Northcenter.
Face north.
(1) Deosil: Clockwise.
Deosil is the turning of time, the flowing of nature, and Wiccans typically
tend not to go against the flow of nature.
A note about the Ritual: No great mystery,
names called at Corners and Spirit are simply Spanish equivalents of their
English counterparts, which usually follow the words during ritual (i.e.
Oso, Great Bear) The ritual is completely original and obviously
of an eclectic leaning, though it has been created for Wiccan purposes.
It can be used as is, or (preferably) crafted to your likings. Tools can
be different (though should stay with the same element), or not be used
at all. Experiment, alter, and most of all...
Merry magick! |
